Bare Root Flora is a couture floral design house dedicated to elevating flowers into art for Colorado’s finest affairs! Weddings and commitment ceremonies are a particular passion, but we also delight in designing fashionable flowers for corporate events, bridal and baby showers, engagement and anniversary parties, and other affairs. Bare Root Flora handles events of all sizes, from small, intimate gatherings to large and lavish galas, from the Front Range to the High Country. We also gladly design custom arrangements for weekly corporate standing orders.

I have always envied people who knew what they were meant to do in life. I never had that certainty—until I picked up a floral knife and started designing! Design came as a career change for me—I had spent years in the editing & publishing world. After too long behind a computer, I felt the time had come to pursue something about which I was more passionate. When I started floral design school, I knew I had found that passion. Seven years later, I’m still in a love affair with flowers and design! Weddings are my particular obsession and I get no greater thrill than seeing a bride’s reaction to the bouquet I hand her on her wedding day. I put so much of my heart and soul into my design that each and every event holds tremendous meaning for me. I am truly grateful to do what I do each day, and to know it’s exactly where I’m meant to be.

I owe my love of design to my grandmother, who, when I was just a tiny girl, inspired me to combine the beauty of nature with human artistry to create my own masterpieces (which of course at age 3 is a relative term!). It seemed only fitting for me to pursue floral design on a professional level.
For more than a decade I have been fortunate enough to do just that, and I’m just as passionate and excited about this industry as I was the day I graduated design school. I can’t imagine anything more fulfilling than combining creativity and human emotion into one package. The rewards are absolutely priceless and I live to hear clients tell us we far exceeded their expectations. The tears, “hoorays,” claps, and hugs make it all so worthwhile!
This industry is constantly evolving and there is always something to fuel my creative passion. Bare Root Flora is the next step in my personal evolution as a designer and I couldn’t be more excited about where we’ll go from here!
